New Orleans, 115 degrees. Are you ready for this?

Your Tuesday forecast feels like 115 degrees

Cher, you already know I ain't one for complaining about the heat. We live in New Awlins, baby, we *expect* it to be hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk in July. But when they start putting out "Extreme Heat Warnings" and saying it's gonna *feel* like 115 degrees? That's when you know it ain't just the usual sticky summer we accustomed to. That's a whole different kind of heat, the kind that makes you wanna just float in a big ol' pot of gumbo.

This ain't just about feeling uncomfortable, cher. The National Weather Service is telling us to expect heat indices up to 115 degrees today, and that's not just a number on a screen. That's dangerous, especially for our folks who work outside, or those who don't have good air conditioning in their shotgun houses in the Tremé or up in the Bywater. The city’s infrastructure is already stretched thin, and extreme heat puts a real strain on everything, from our power grid to our emergency services.

* **Stay Hydrated:** Drink plenty of water, even if you don't feel thirsty. Skip the daiquiris for now, baby.

* **Seek Cool Air:** Head to a library, a community center, or even just a well-air-conditioned grocery store for a bit.

* **Check on Neighbors:** Especially the elderly or those with health issues. A quick "where y'at" can make all the difference.

This heat ain't playing, and we gotta look out for each other, like we always do. Stay safe out there, my city.

That's New Orleans, baby — we bury our dead above ground and keep the music below.

Y'all know Keith and the crew are gonna be all over this heatwave on the morning show — catch 'em live at mornings.live.
