Your neighbours are busy fixing and building things
Well, bonjour à tous! We’re coming to you this morning from just off the Hill, where City Hall has been busy processing some rather interesting permits. You know, the kind of things that really show you where the city's money is going, beyond the usual federal appropriations.
The biggest ticket item on the recently issued building permits list, according to my official review, is a whopping $1,118,910 for "site servicing for (19) residential buildings" over in Ward 1, at 1082 Lakeshore Road East. That’s a lot of new homes, and a significant investment in infrastructure out towards Cumberland. It's not just a single house, you know? This is a whole *community* getting ready to sprout.
Right next door, essentially, the same address at 1082 Lakeshore Road East in Ward 1, also has an active development application, SP 25 68, which is a Section 47 for block 8. This tells me that this area, already earmarked for significant residential growth, is moving through the necessary planning approvals. It means more people, more traffic, and probably more shawarma places soon. The real story is never on the Hill — it's always just off it.
What does this mean for you, my friends? It means that even as we debate the intricacies of federal budgets, your city is growing, expanding, and making space for more of us. Keep an eye on Ward 1; it's going to be a hub of activity.
