It's been a busy night and early morning for our Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, hey? According to real-time incident monitoring data, the WFPS has responded to multiple structure fires since 3:00 AM on Thursday, May 7th, 2026. The most pressing is an active structure fire in the Spence neighbourhood, incident 2026068818, reported at 4:40:56 AM, which is still active as of 12:59 PM today.
### Fire Crews Battling Active Incident
This active fire in Spence, located in the Daniel McIntyre ward, has seen a significant deployment of units including D3, D74, E101, E102, E103, E104, E17, E2, E3, E5, E6, L11, PCFRO, R4, R5, and S5. That’s a lot of folks on the ground, hey. This follows three other resolved structure fires in Spence and a fifth in West Broadway earlier this morning.

* Leila North (incident 2026068804), reported at 3:10:07 AM, resolved by 4:09:47 AM.
