Your favorite library branch is closing its doors
Listen— I'ma say this once, and only once. You know how much I love a good book, right? And I ain't talkin' 'bout no e-reader, I'm talkin' 'bout that smell of old paper, that weight in your hands. So when I heard the North Point library branch is closin' for a minute, my heart did a little *clik-clik* thing, hon. But then I heard about the bookmobile, and that's just pure Bawlmer ingenuity right there.
### The Rolling Library
They're shuttin' down the North Point branch, over there near Dundalk, to finish up these HVAC renovations. Nobody wants to be sweatin' while they're tryin' to learn somethin', so I get it. But for folks who rely on that branch, maybe they don't have a car to zip over to, say, the Essex branch or somethin', this could be a real problem. That's why the bookmobile is so smart.
* It's gonna be parked outside the closed North Point Branch. * You can catch it every Tuesday and Thursday. * It'll keep Dundalk residents connected to their books and resources.
That's Baltimore, hon — we don't break, we just bend loud. We find a way. It reminds you that even with all the big fancy stuff downtown, the real heart of the city is in these neighborhoods, in places like Dundalk, and makin' sure folks still got access to what they need. So if you're out that way, give that bookmobile some love.
