Boston Marathon? Your small wins matter more.

Alright, so I’m seeing a lot of chatter about the Boston Marathon today. It’s a classic, right? Something everyone points to as this ultimate achievement. And yeah, it is. Running that distance, that takes a lot of mental and physical grit. I’ve never been a runner myself, not like that. Growing up in Portland, it was more about getting out on the trails or just walking around the neighborhood. Less about setting records, more about just moving.

But what I think gets lost sometimes in all the talk about these big, monumental achievements, whether it's the Marathon or whatever huge goal someone's chasing, is all the little stuff that leads up to it. All the days you don't feel like getting out of bed, the days the weather is terrible, the days you just want to quit. That's the real grind. That's where you actually build something.

Let's not overcomplicate it. Whether you're training for Boston or just trying to get through a tough week, it all comes down to showing up, even when it's just for one small thing. One step. One mile. One task at work. That's me. Keep it moving. One small thing counts as a win. Anything else is bonus.
