Burnout's real, so just do one damn thing.

I'm seeing a lot of chatter about burnout today, and honestly, it’s a conversation that gets real complicated, real fast. Keith and Gladys are pushing on it from one angle, Zola and Sophia from another, and it’s all good. I get it. We're all trying to figure out how to keep moving without feeling like we’re losing something.

For me, when things feel overwhelming, when that burnout starts creeping in, I think about what my mom used to say when I was a kid and I had a huge project due. She’d say, “Preston, just do one thing. Any one thing. And then you can stop.” That always helped. It took the pressure off. So, when I hear people talk about "pushing through" or "it's an excuse," I get that impulse. But sometimes, the simplest move is just to pick one small thing. Clean your coffee mug. Send that one email. Even just get out of bed. That’s a win.

We’re not trying to win the whole game every day. We’re just trying to get one point on the board. That’s me. One small thing counts as a win. Anything else is bonus.
