Chicago's top 2 complaints aren't potholes. You'll never guess.

Okay so, Chi-Town on the wire — you already know.

### Your city hall is hearing a lot about planes and rats

Nah nah nah, let me explain. You know how everyone’s always talking about what City Hall does, or *doesn't* do? Well, the latest 311 data, from all the calls coming in, tells you what's really on people’s minds. And guess what? The top two issues, after just general info calls, are aircraft noise and rats.

We’re talking almost *ten thousand* aircraft noise complaints, like, 9,941 requests, which is wild. And right behind that, over a thousand rodent baiting calls — 1,036 requests, to be exact. That means the planes flying over and the rats running around are way more pressing for residents right now than potholes, which only got 1,055 requests, or even graffiti removal. It really makes you think about what’s happening in our neighborhoods, you know? Like, are we just accepting these things?

What’s next? I’m watching to see if these numbers actually push City Hall to do something concrete about the noise, especially with all the O'Hare traffic, and if we'll see more aggressive rodent control efforts beyond just baiting. Porque, we deserve to live in peace, no?
