Council moved to adopt the agenda, approve minutes, and vote on reports and bylaws, all without a single dissenting voice. It’s almost... serene.
What really stands out though, tucked into the additions to that agenda, is Bylaw 21579 regarding the Family and Community Support Services Advisory Committee. This comes right after Bylaw 21548 for the Accessibility Advisory Committee was read a second time. It seems City Council, particularly with motions moved by Councillors Tang, Parmar, and Rutherford, is really keen on formalizing and updating these advisory bodies. It's a bit like tuning up the engine of a perfectly good old truck — you know it runs, but you want to make sure all the parts are talking to each other, especially as the city grows.
