Well now, what a week it's been down at City Hall, eh? If you’ve been wondering what old Tommy’s been keeping an eye on, it’s been all about that big Cogswell Interchange redevelopment, and let me tell you, there's some good news on that front.
### Cogswell’s Finally Moving
It seems like after all the talk and all the plans, we’re actually seeing some movement on the Cogswell project. Remember all those years of driving through that mess, trying to get down to the waterfront without ending up in the harbour?
* The city has finally confirmed the next phase of construction is a go. * This means we might actually see that whole area transform from a concrete jungle to something a bit more, well, Haligonian. * They’re talking about new public spaces and better ways to get around downtown. It’s some good, my son!
It’s going to be a while yet before it’s all done, of course, but it’s a relief to know things are progressing. Maybe soon we can all get down to the Lower Deck for a pint without navigating a construction maze, eh?
