### The Real Estate Journey Just Got a New Co-Pilot
Some good morning to you, my son. We're always talking about what's next for Halifax, aren't we? Well, the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) just dropped some news that’s got me thinking about how we tell our stories, especially when it comes to finding a place to call home around here. They've announced a new host for their "REAL TIME" podcast in 2025, and it’s none other than Shaun Majumder. Now, you might know him from 'This Hour Has 22 Minutes,' and if you've ever seen him, you know he's got a way of making you laugh and think at the same time.
CREA says he’s going to bring "connections, community, and curiosity" to the podcast. And if you ask me, that's exactly what you need when you're navigating the housing market, whether it's looking for a little place in the North End or a spread out in Tantallon. It’s not just about numbers, is it? It’s about fitting in, finding your people, and making a life here by the harbour.
They also just released Episode 72, focusing on making the real estate journey more accessible, with Jeffrey Kerr. That's a good thing, because buddy, everyone deserves a fair shot at finding a place that works for them, no matter what. And Episode 71, with Katie Hession, talks about realtors and influencers. I’ll tell you, the internet’s a funny place, and it’s changing how everything works, even buying a home.
What does this mean for us? Well, it means the conversation around real estate is getting a fresh voice, and hopefully, some new perspectives that make it feel less like a closed-off club and more like a community chat. We'll be watching to see what Majumder brings to the table and how these discussions might ripple through our own busy market.
