Your City Hall had a wild week, buddy!
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, if you blinked this past week down at City Hall, you likely missed a thing or two, eh? It was some wild, like trying to catch a greased-up eel, honestly. We had a real mix of things coming through, some good and some bad, that's for sure.
### What's The Big Yarn?
From what I’ve been hearing down at the coffee shops on Agricola Street, folks are trying to keep up with all the twists and turns. Here’s the gist of it:
* There was a whole lot of back-and-forth on some big development plans for the waterfront, down by the Casino. * Talk about the transit system was some heavy, with folks wondering if we’re going to see more buses or if we’re stuck with what we got. * And, of course, there was a good bit of chatter about property taxes – always a favourite topic, eh?
It felt like trying to keep a kite steady in a northeaster out there, buddy. Makes you wonder what they'll get up to next, doesn’t it?
