Your City Hall was some wild, buddy!
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, if you blinked this past week down at City Hall, you likely missed a thing or two, eh? It was some wild, like trying to catch a greased-up eel, honestly. We had a real mix of things going on, from big plans that got everyone talking, to some last-minute twists that had folks scratching their heads.
It felt like one of those blustery days down by the harbour, where the wind changes direction every five minutes. There was some talk about the future of the waterfront, which, you know, is always a hot topic. And then, just when you thought you had a handle on it all, a curveball out of nowhere!
Here’s a quick taste of what had us all buzzing:
* Big discussions on some new developments for the North End. * A surprise debate on the future of parking downtown. * Some back-and-forth over the budget, as always.
It's never a dull moment when you're keeping an eye on our city's goings-on, that's for sure. Keeps you on your toes, like trying to get the last slice of donair at King of Donair on Quinpool Road. Oh, that sticky sweet sauce, buddy!
For the MiTL Sports Desk, I’m Tommy MacLellan. Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
