**City Hall's been a ride, my son**
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, if you blinked this past week down at City Hall, you likely missed a thing or two, eh? It was some wild, like trying to catch a greased-up eel, honestly. We had a real mix of things being talked about, and sometimes it felt like everyone was talking at once, you know?
The big takeaway from all the hullabaloo at City Hall this week is that there's a lot of push and pull happening. We saw:
* Some good spirited debates, some bad loud ones too. * Plenty of back-and-forth on what's next for the peninsula. * A good bit of chatter about community projects and how they're going to get funded.
It's all part of living in a growing city like ours, I suppose. Everyone's got an idea for how to make things better, from the waterfront to the far end of Sackville. What it means for us folks just trying to get a decent donair is that we've got to keep our ears open and our eyes peeled, because decisions are being made down there that affect our everyday lives, buddy.
