Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, if you blinked this past week down at City Hall, you likely missed a thing or two, eh? It was some wild, like trying to catch a greased-up eel, honestly. We had a real mix of things coming and going, some good and some… well, not so good.
### All Over the Map Down There
It felt like council was playing a bit of a fiddle, some days on tune, some days a little off-key. They were grappling with a fair bit, bless their hearts.
* Big talks about those new bike lanes near the Commons, getting some folks all fired up. * A long chat about the old Cogswell site redevelopment, still trying to get that one squared away, eh? * And, of course, the usual back-and-forth about the budget – always a fun time trying to stretch a nickel into a dime.
It's never dull, that's for sure. Keeps us on our toes, just like trying to get a parking spot on Argyle Street on a Saturday night. So, there you have it, my son – another week in the books for Halifax City Hall.
