Your City Hall was some wild this week, buddy!
Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.
Well now, my son, if you blinked this past week down at City Hall, you likely missed a thing or two, eh? It was some wild, like trying to catch a greased-up eel, honestly. We had a real mix of things going on, from the usual debates that go round and round like a Ferris wheel down at the waterfront, to some big decisions that felt like trying to land a tuna with a hand line.
### A Good Old Halifax Stir
It felt like every corner of the municipality was getting a mention, from the North End to the South Shore. Lots of chatter about how we're growing and trying to keep that lovely Halifax feel while we do it. Council was really digging into:
* New housing developments * Traffic flow, especially around the MacKay Bridge * And how we're gonna keep our green spaces green
It’s always a juggling act, isn't it? Trying to keep everyone happy, or at least mostly happy. It’s a bit like trying to decide if you want extra sauce or no onions on your donair – everyone's got an opinion, and they're all pretty strong. But that's Halifax for you, my son, always a lively discussion, and usually, we figure things out.
This is Tommy MacLellan, some good morning from the MiTL Sports Desk, in Halifax. You can always catch more of our yarns over at mornings.live.
