It’s a Barton Street story, really: progress comes, but you gotta make sure it's not leaving the regulars behind.
### What This Means for Hamilton
Listen, I'm from the Mountain. We know how to stick with our teams through thick and thin. This new deal could be huge, but there are a few things that need to be clear for Ticats fans:
* **Access for Locals:** Are we still going to be able to catch every game easily, or are they going to make us jump through hoops? We need to know our Friday night ritual at the stadium, or on the couch if it's an away game, isn't getting messed with. * **Growing the Game:** If this means more kids on the lower city playgrounds dreaming of being a Ticat, then I'm all for it. We want to see the league thrive, but not at the expense of the passion that built it here. * **Tailgate Culture:** This is huge. The pre-game tailgate at Tim Hortons Field is a cornerstone of our community. It’s where we catch up, eat some ćevapi, and get ready to yell our hearts out. Whatever this deal means, it can't mess with that.
The CFL needs to remember that cities like Hamilton are the heart of this league. We’re not just a market; we’re the soul, right? You want to grow, great. Just make sure you're bringing us along for the ride, not leaving us on the curb at Gage Park.
