Your new gelato spot is coming, Kelowna!
Good morning from the Okanagan — the lake is calm, the vines are growing, and we have things to discuss. I know it feels like summer is just around the corner, and frankly, I'm already dreaming of long evenings by City Park Beach. But while you're planning your long weekend, your city hall has been busy!
Okay, but here's the thing nobody talks about: the city council just approved a business license for a new gelato shop, "Gelato & Grapes," opening up downtown at 1450 Bernard Avenue. I know, I know, another treat spot, but this one is aiming for a bit of a twist. They’re planning to open by late June, just in time for the serious heat. We're talking fresh, local fruit in those gelatos, and maybe even some wine-infused sorbets. My yiayia would ask if it has enough sugar, but I'm thinking it's going to be a perfect post-dinner stop after walking the waterfront.
