Your Kings need to bring it tonight, dude
The vibe in Los Angeles today is, like, a classic LA mix. You got some people at the Guisados in Boyle Heights talking smack about the Colorado Avalanche, all confident because of how the Kings have been playing lately. Then you got folks stuck on the 405, probably stressing about this road game, especially with that little L in the last game column. It’s not panic, though. We’ve seen this team grind. It’s more like, 'we know what they can do, just go out there and do it.' Everyone's kinda holding their breath, but it's a hopeful breath, you know?
What everyone's really buzzing about is the push for the playoffs. We're sitting pretty decent for that Wild Card spot, but no one wants to just slide in. People at my coffee shop in Silver Lake are talking about keeping that momentum, about not letting off the gas now. There’s a lot of chatter about Kevin Fiala and Adrian Kempe lighting it up, and how we need them to keep that energy against the Avalanche. We need to lock this down and show everyone we're a real threat, and that's just facts, dude.
Los Reyes. LA Kings hockey. I'm Gabi Vásquez — gnarly game, let's go Kings.
