You know, you walk into any coffee shop down in 12 South, or grab a biscuit at Biscuit Love in the Gulch, and folks ain't exactly panicking. No sir. There’s a quiet confidence brewin', like a good batch of sweet tea. We're sittin' pretty, all things considered, after that win last time out. Folks are talkin' about it, sayin' we got some of that 'Smashville magic' back. We’re still a ways off from where we wanna be in the Central, but that Wildcard spot ain't lookin' quite so far-fetched anymore, you know?
Now, the main tune folks are hummin' about, besides the fact that we're fixin' to play the Vancouver Canucks tonight, is the continued hot streak of Filip Forsberg. Buddy's been playin' like he's got a fresh dose of Prince's Hot Chicken for breakfast every mornin'. Every time he touches the puck, you can almost hear the crowd on Lower Broadway cheerin' from here. There's a real belief that if Forsberg keeps dancin' around defenders like a seasoned fiddler, and if Juuse Saros stands on his head like he's known to do, then this Nashville Predators team can truly make some noise. It ain't blind faith, understand. It's that deep-down, honest-to-goodness belief that we're a tough out, no matter who we're playin'.
