Your Nashville Predators are still fightin' for it, bud!
Well, if you went to bed early last night, you woke up to some real good news, didn't ya? The Nashville Predators absolutely shut down the Anaheim Ducks, puttin' up a 5-0 shutout on the road. It was one of those games where everything just kinda clicked, especially as the night went on. Juuse Saros was a brick wall between the pipes, facing down 43 shots and turning every single one away. The boys were out there with something to prove, and they showed it, holding the Ducks to a measly 25 shots while they were busy lightin' up the lamp five different times.
The second period was where the Nashville Predators really broke it open, just like a good honky-tonk band findin' its groove. Erik Haula got us on the board first, with assists from Joakim Kemell and Adam Wilsby. Then, Filip Forsberg kept his hot streak goin' with a power-play goal, off helpers from our captain Roman Josi and Ryan O'Reilly. But the real showstopper? Big B. Skjei with a short-handed goal at the end of the second, settin' the tone for the rest of the game with an assist from Nick Perbix and Ryan O'Reilly again. Zachary L'Heureux and Fyodor Svechkov kept the party rollin' in the third, making sure the Anaheim Ducks didn't even get a sniff of a comeback.
This win, buddy, it ain't just another notch on the belt. It keeps the Nashville Predators sittin' pretty in that second Wild Card spot, 84 points now and lookin' good with a 6-3-1 record in our last ten. We’re still fifth in the Central, but this team is fixin' to make some noise. With the schedule gettin' tighter than a guitar string before a big show at the Ryman, every single point matters. The mood in Nashville this morning? Brighter than a fresh batch of Prince's Hot Chicken, I tell ya. We're lookin' at these next games with a whole lot of hope and a whole lot of grit.
From Smashville — bless their hearts and let's go Preds.
