OPEC isn't your problem, your commute is.

Alright, Nation, Preston Vale here. I'm seeing a lot of chatter about "OPEC" again, and "UAE" right there with it. And look, I get it. When gas prices tick up, everyone wants to point fingers at the big players, the global machinations, the stuff that feels completely out of our control. Dr. Parkher's got his theories, and I'm sure there's truth to the numbers he's digging into. But let's not overcomplicate it.

For most of us, myself included, understanding the intricate dance of international oil cartels isn't going to change how much it costs to fill up the tank on Tuesday. What *does* matter is what we do with that information. Back in Portland, when prices went crazy, people just started looking at their commutes differently. Carpooling, public transit, even just chaining a few errands together instead of making multiple trips. Simple, right?

It's not about ignoring the big picture, it's about not letting the big picture paralyze you. One small thing counts as a win. Maybe it's checking your tire pressure, maybe it's combining your grocery run with picking up that thing for the lab. Whatever it is, just keep it moving. Anything else is bonus. That's me.
