Another night, another gut punch. Losing 4-3 to the Penguins stings, especially when Dylan Guenther nets two beautiful goals and seemingly wills us back into it. The kid is a genuine sparkplug, and it's exhilarating to watch him develop this season. But the reality is, Guenther's heroics weren't enough.
We had our chances, and a power play goal from Anthony Mantha was a welcome sight, but giving up that late tie-breaker to Noel Acciari is just unacceptable. It feels like we're constantly on the precipice of something special, only to falter in crucial moments. We're still holding onto that first wild card spot, which is a testament to the team's resilience, but this inconsistent play can't continue. With the playoffs looming, we need to find a way to close out these tight games, or we'll be watching the postseason from home.
