Texas thinks your Netflix habit is *their* problem now?

Your Netflix addiction might be Texas's problem now

Listen, I'm not even gonna hold you, when I saw this jawn about Texas suing Netflix 'cause they say the app is too addictive and collecting your data, I almost spit out my wooder. Like, seriously? Texas is out here acting like they just discovered why you been on the couch since Friday night binging three seasons of somethin' or nah? Everybody in Philly knows how this goes. You start with *The Wire*, then next thing you know, it's 3 AM and you’re watching some weird documentary about competitive dog grooming. That's just how these streaming services work!

### What This Means for Philly

Now, on one hand, I get it. Nobody wants their data out there without them knowing, especially with all the scams goin' around in our city. But on the other hand, Texas acting like this is some kinda new discovery? Please. This jawn feels like a distraction. We got real problems here in Philadelphia.

* **Data Privacy:** Yeah, we all want to know who's got our info. That's a real thing. But is Netflix the biggest villain when our own PPA is out here taking pictures of your car every five minutes? * **Addiction vs. Choice:** Are we really gonna let a state tell us we can't control ourselves? If you wanna sit on your couch in West Philly and watch *Abbott Elementary* all day, that's your business. * **The Real Jawn:** This feels like a whole lot of noise over something that ain't really gonna change how you watch your shows. It's not like they're gonna shut Netflix down or somethin'.

This whole thing just reminds me that everyone's always lookin' for someone else to blame, or a new jawn to complain about. Meanwhile, you still gotta dodge potholes on Lancaster Ave, figure out why your SEPTA bus is always late, and decide if you're gonna hit up John's Roast Pork or DiNic's for lunch. That's the real stuff we deal with. That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
