Your City Hall is quiet and that's the jawn
Listen, y'all want me to tell you what's going on at City Hall, right? I'm looking at this data from the 311 service requests and all I'm seeing is "Miscellaneous." Like, really? "Miscellaneous" is the top jawn people are calling about? Are we talking about rogue squirrels in Fairmount or a missed trash pickup in Bridesburg? They ain't even giving us numbers for these "miscellaneous" calls, which is just wild. It's like they're saying, "Nah, we ain't even gonna tell you what's bothering your neighbors."
### What's Up With Development?
And when it comes to development, it's just a bunch of "N/A" for plumbing, mechanical, and new construction permits. I'm not even gonna hold you, sometimes I see these "N/A"s and I think about how hard it is to get a permit for anything in this city. Remember that bakery jawn on Girard Avenue that was trying to open for like two years? It feels like we're either building everything everywhere without a plan, or nothing at all, and there ain't no in-between.
* **311 Requests:** Mostly "Miscellaneous" with no specific numbers. * **Development Permits:** All "N/A" for various construction types.
What does this mean for us, the actual people living in Philadelphia? It means we ain't getting a clear picture of what's really happening on the ground, or what City Hall is actually doing. We need to press these people for real data, or nah? This "N/A" and "Miscellaneous" ain't cutting it. That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
