Listen, sometimes the news ain't about what's happenin', it's about what ain't. And lookin' at what's comin' out of City Hall this week, I'm not even gonna hold you, it's quieter than South Street on a Tuesday morning. We got a bunch of "miscellaneous" 311 requests and "street defect" calls, which, let's be real, is just another Tuesday in Philly. Like, we need to know what kind of "miscellaneous" jawn people are callin' about. Is it a rogue cheesesteak truck, or just another broken streetlight on Girard? Specificity matters, people!
### Crickets on the Development Front
But the real jawn I'm lookin' at is the development activity. Or, really, the *lack* of it. "N/A" across the board for all the building permits – mechanical, alteration, plumbing, electrical. This ain't normal, even for a short week. Usually, you got some contractor tryin' to slap up another luxury condo in Fishtown or somethin'. So what's up? Are developers takin' a nap, or is somethin' else goin' on behind the scenes that we ain't privy to yet?
