Philly, your City Hall has N/A permits. What's up with that?

Listen, your City Hall is quiet this week, or nah?

This week at City Hall, it feels like they’re holding their breath, or maybe just deciding which jawn to tackle first. The 311 service requests are, well, a whole lot of "miscellaneous." I'm not even gonna hold you, it’s like folks are calling about everything and nothing specific, just a bunch of question marks floating around the city. It means we gotta dig deeper to see what kinda 'miscellaneous' jawn is really buggin' folks. Could be anything from a wild dog in Fairmount Park to some wooder main bustin' on South Street.

### What's Up With Permits?

Development activity is also kinda wild. We got N/A for electrical permits, N/A for plumbing, and N/A for zoning. Listen, that's not just a typo, that means either nobody's pullin' permits for these specific categories right now, or the system ain't trackin' it right. When you see N/A across the board like that for big things like electrical and plumbing, it makes you wonder what's really happening out there in places like Fishtown, where new stuff is always poppin' up, or even down on Passyunk Avenue. Is construction just chillin', or are we seeing a slowdown in what's being officially reported?

We need to keep an eye on these N/A's, 'cause they don't tell us the full story of what's buildin' up in our neighborhoods. That’s the jawn, Philly — we don’t do fake out here.
