Philly, is your block the city's second biggest mess?

Your neighborhood's lookin' a mess, or nah?

Listen, if you been walking 'round West Philly, or really any neighborhood in this whole jawn, you probably seen it. I'm talkin' about that graffiti and all that trash just dumped on the street. And it ain't just you noticing, or nah?

The latest 311 service request numbers are out, and guess what's at the top? It’s illegal dumping and graffiti removal, back-to-back. I'm not even gonna hold you, it’s not surprising. It feels like every time I walk down Baltimore Avenue, there’s some new tag on a wall that wasn’t there the day before. Or someone just left a whole couch out on the curb like it’s a donation center.

* **Illegal Dumping:** Second highest request * **Graffiti Removal:** Third highest request * **Street Defects:** Still a problem, but not as bad as the other two.

This ain't just about things lookin' ugly, either. This is about our neighborhoods. It affects property values, it makes folks feel unsafe, and it just shows a lack of respect for our city, you know? City Hall needs to step up and make sure these requests get handled, not just tallied. We need to see more than just numbers on a report.

That's the jawn, Philly — we don't do fake out here.
