You know, the real estate market, it can be a real headache, eh? Especially if you've got specific needs. But I heard something interesting from the Canadian Real Estate Association's REAL TIME podcast – Episode 72, actually – that talks about making the whole journey more accessible. Jeffrey Kerr, a real estate pro, was on there discussing how clients with mobility, visual, or auditory barriers often need accommodations. It's about making sure everyone can find a place to call home, which, oh for sure, is something we should all be thinking about. It sounds like they're trying to make sure our neighbours, our kokums and mosoms, and everyone in between, aren't left behind when they're looking for a new place.
This is a step in the right direction, if you ask me. Because a home, it's more than just four walls and a roof, isn't it? It’s where you live your life. It'll be interesting to see if these accessibility considerations become a bigger part of how we approach housing here in Regina.
