Right, so City Hall. Even when things are quiet, you gotta keep an eye on what's bubbling under. I'm always watching those development permits — who's building where, and is it more condos blocking the harbour view, or something that actually helps the North End? Budget season, that's a big one. You want to see where our tax dollars are going, and if they're fixing those potholes on Rothesay Road or just paving another road for the big boys, you know? Council meetings, they can be a snooze, right, but sometimes someone drops a bombshell about the port or a new proposal for the waterfront. I'll tell you what, it's always worth a peek.
