I'll tell you what, this past week at Saint John City Hall, it’s been quieter than the Reversing Falls at slack tide, right? We’ve been looking for some fresh civic data, some word on what’s happening in the city, but it's been a real ghost town on the open data portal. It leaves you wonderin' what exactly is going on, or not going on, behind those doors down near King's Square.
### What's Not Happening
It’s one thing to have no big announcements, but no *data*? That's a whole different kettle of fish.
* The city's open data portal has been a bit sparse, to say the least. * This lack of fresh information makes it tough to get a clear picture of city goings-on. * We're left to wonder about progress, or lack thereof, on local initiatives.
Meanwhile, a lot of folks are still grappling with the housing market, right? We've talked a bit about that, and how the Canadian Real Estate Association is pushing for things to be a bit easier for buyers. But locally? We could use a bit more transparency from City Hall to help us all navigate what’s next for Saint John.
