Good morning from the Fundy shore — the tide's turning, and so is New Brunswick. Let's get into it.
### Your Saint John home search could feel a bit easier soon, right?
I'll tell you what, there's always a lot of talk about the housing market here, and mostly it's about how hard it is to find a place. But the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is putting out a new podcast series called "REAL TIME" in 2025, and it looks like they're trying to tackle some of these big questions.
The big one for us, right, is making real estate journeys more accessible for everyone. Episode 72, with Jeffrey Kerr, talks about accommodating folks facing mobility, visual, or auditory barriers. You see it here in Saint John, trying to make the uptown more accessible, and it’s a big deal. For folks trying to find a home, especially with our older housing stock, it's not always straightforward. This focus from CREA, trying to make the process easier for *everyone*, not just the typical buyer, that's what we need. It means more people can find a place to call home, right here by the Fundy. It's about building community, which Episode 74 touches on, and that's something we excel at in Saint John.
What to watch for: Keep an eye on local real estate agents and how they adapt these ideas. It could really change how we talk about finding a home, making Saint John more welcoming.
