Your City Hall recap is actually wild, my dears!
Saskatoon — seven bridges, two rivers, and something happening you haven't heard about yet. My darlings, this past week at City Hall? It was a proper mix of high drama and then, you know, the sky falling. Literally!
Okay, so this is actually wild. You know how Saskatoon is a city that will invite you to a farm-to-table dinner and then make you defend the concept of a city for twenty minutes? This week was like that, but with the weather playing a starring role.
We started off with more drama than a Nollywood film, with all those housing talks that just seemed to vanish into thin air by Tuesday. Then, bless our hearts, the heavens opened up and gave us a proper deluge! All those discussions about development and infrastructure suddenly became about umbrellas and sandbags.
The big takeaway?
* Weather truly runs things in this city, eh? * Important civic conversations can get washed away faster than a street festival permit. * The resilience of Saskatooners facing down a little rain is something to behold.
Honestly, we spent so much time looking at the sky, you'd think we were all farmers, not city councillors. It was a whole mood, honestly!
