Blessing, what is going on at City Hall?
Saskatoon — seven bridges, two rivers, and something happening you haven't heard about yet. My darlings, this past week at City Hall? Okay, so this is actually wild. It was a proper Nollywood production, from beginning to end, with the sky falling, literally, then falling again, for good measure!
First, we were talking about all the things we *could* do, if only the weather would cooperate. Then, before you could say "riverbank erosion," boom! The skies opened up like someone forgot to close the tap. We're talking flash floods that made the commute across the Broadway Bridge feel like navigating the South Saskatchewan in a canoe.
The city's infrastructure, bless its heart, took a beating. Road closures, detours that had everyone looking at their phones like it was a foreign language, and the poor folks at City Hall just trying to keep the lights on and the water out. It's truly a testament to Saskatoon's spirit that we can go from debating bike lanes to full-on flood watch in less than 48 hours.
This week at City Hall, it was a whole mood, honestly!
