Your City Hall week was a whole mood, honestly!
Saskatoon — seven bridges, two rivers, and something happening you haven't heard about yet. My darlings, this past week at City Hall? We were all over the place, like a toddler with a new toy!
Okay, so this is actually wild. We started the week talking about the sky falling, and truly, it felt like it kept falling! We saw some serious drama, the kind that makes you wonder if they're auditioning for a play at the Persephone Theatre instead of running a city.
The main gist, my dears, was definitely the weather and how it affects everything. From emergency responses to infrastructure, it was like a masterclass in how much we rely on the sun shining… or not shining.
* Big discussions on emergency preparedness and weather-related impacts. * Plenty of spirited debates, which is Saskatoon's way of saying "we are passionate about potholes, thank you very much." * And, as always, a few surprises that popped up faster than a prairie thunderstorm.
For us here, living near the South Saskatchewan, it means keeping an eye on how these decisions will actually play out on our streets, in our parks, and maybe even on our patios down on Broadway.
