Alright, Nation. I'm seeing "Rooney Rule" trending today. And my mind immediately goes to something bigger than sports. It’s about opportunity. It’s about making sure everyone gets a real shot, not just a performative one.
We talk a lot on the Desk about taking action. About showing up. But sometimes, even when you're ready, the door isn't open wide enough. Or it's not open at all.
I've seen so many communities, so many individuals, with incredible talent and drive. They're doing the work. They're leading themselves first. But they're also up against systems that weren't built with them in mind.
It’s not enough to just hope for the best. We have to actively create the spaces. We have to demand the chances. Because momentum isn't magic. It's reps. And those reps need a starting line for everyone.
