Your CampTO snacks are getting a serious upgrade, Toronto!

Okay but real talk— your CampTO snacks are getting an upgrade, fam!

### Snack Attack at City Hall

Real talk, the General Government Committee just approved an amendment to Blanket Contract 47025662 with Avron Foods Limited. What does that even mean? It means more snack foods for the Expanded Universal CampTO Child Nutrition Program. Councillor Michael Thompson voted 'Yes' on May 11, 2026, and it passed, dude, even with Stephen Holyday voting 'No.' So, kids across the city, from Scarborough to Etobicoke, are gonna get better snacks at camp. You know how important good fuel is for running around all day, right? This is a win for all the little ones tearing it up at community centres this summer.

### Digital Divide and Smart Commute

The same committee on May 11, 2026, also approved a non-competitive contract with Toronto Metropolitan University for partnerships addressing the digital divide. That's big for our communities that struggle with internet access. Plus, they greenlit another non-competitive contract with RideShark Corporation for the Smart Commute Online Tool. Councillor Thompson was a 'Yes' on both of those too, while Councillor Holyday was a 'No' on RideShark. This shows City Hall is trying to tackle both how we get around and how we stay connected. We'll have to see how these partnerships roll out and if they actually make a dent.

Real talk, this is Toronto — stay up.
