Meanwhile, down at City Hall, the General Government Committee made some moves on May 11th, according to recent council votes. They passed an amendment to Blanket Contract 47025662 with Avron Foods Limited for snack foods for the Universal CampTO Child Nutrition program. That passed 4-1, with Councillor Michael Thompson voting yes, and Councillor Stephen Holyday voting no. They also approved a non-competitive contract with RideShark Corporation for the Smart Commute Online Tool, again a 4-1 vote. It means more snacks for the kids and hopefully smoother commutes for us all, but some councillors clearly had reservations. What happens next with these contracts?
