Your Scarborough Council Is Changing Up Our Corners
Okay but real talk, fam, your Scarborough Community Council was busy on May 28th, making moves that are gonna reshape some familiar spots. They approved a couple of big zoning by-law amendments, both passed 5-0 with Councillor Michael Thompson voting yes on both.
* **Bellamy Road South:** A proposal for 5, 7, 9 and 11 Bellamy Road South got the green light. This means the developers can move forward with whatever they've got planned for that stretch. * **Danforth Road & Birchmount:** Same deal for 468 to 480 Danforth Road and 509 Birchmount Road. That corner, dude, it’s about to see some changes.
These aren't just paper approvals; these are physical changes coming to our neighbourhoods. It's about what gets built, what our streets look like, and who gets to live here. Also, big up Bernice Redmon – council unanimously voted to name the long-term care home at 4610 Finch Avenue East in her honour. That’s a lovely move, man.
Real talk, this is Toronto — stay up.
