Your TTC ride might get a cool new look
Okay but real talk— fam, you know how wild the TTC can be, right? Always something going on. But today, we've got some good news coming outta City Hall that could actually make your daily commute a bit more... us.
The Toronto Transit Commission met on June 3, 2026, and it was a busy one. A major item that passed was the "Indigenous Wayfinding on the TTC" presentation. Councillor Dianne Saxe voted Yes, and it carried with a 5-3 vote. This is huge, dude! Imagine stepping onto the 3 Line at Scarborough Town Centre and seeing signs that reflect the true history of this land. It’s about more than just directions; it’s about making our city's transit system reflect the diverse stories of Toronto.
They also passed a few motions to honour some legends, like "Commemorating Former TTC Chair Howard Moscoe" and "Honouring Frederick Langdon Hubbard." Both carried almost unanimously, with Councillor Dianne Saxe voting Yes on both. It’s good to see the TTC remembering its history while looking forward. We need to keep an eye on how this Indigenous wayfinding initiative rolls out across the system.
