That's not just a bad patch; that’s a systemic issue, and it affects so much more than just a bumpy ride.
This isn't just about comfort; it's about our economy and our access. Think about all the manufacturers in our Valley — Decor Cabinets, Triple E, Friesen Corporation — they rely on solid infrastructure to move their products efficiently. A deteriorating Highway 34 isn't just an inconvenience; it’s a bottleneck for commerce, potentially driving up costs and slowing down the very growth we're so proud of here in Winkler-Morden. And for the families driving to the Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre or the Corn and Apple Festival, it's about safety, too. We're seeing Morden grow 14.5% in five years, while much of rural Canada shrinks. We need roads that can keep up with that kind of progress.
