You need your own damn Rooney Rule, like now.

Alright, so I'm looking at what's popping off today, and you got your "did Purdue win last night," you got your "NCAA men's basketball scores"... and Sterling, he's already on it, right? Talking about that playoff intensity. And he's not wrong. Not at all.

But then I see "Rooney Rule" trending. And for those of you who don't know, that's the NFL thing, right? Where you gotta interview minority candidates for coaching and front-office positions. And it's meant to create opportunity. It’s meant to open doors that maybe weren’t open before.

And my first thought, my gut reaction, is always, "Are we doing that in our own lives?" True motherfucking story. Are we actively looking for the unexpected candidate to run our own damn internal operations? Are we interviewing the uncomfortable truth about our own habits, about our own consistency? Because if you're waiting for someone else to implement a Rooney Rule for your own damn success, you're gonna be waiting a long time.

You gotta be your own goddamn Rooney Rule. You gotta look in your own mirror and say, "Alright, what am I *not* seeing? What am I *not* interviewing for my own damn life?" That’s where the consistency is the product. Not just talking about it, but doing it. Get up and get after it. Tick, tick, tick. So, what’s the uncomfortable truth you need to interview today? What's the new opportunity you're gonna force yourself to consider? Go.
