Alright, "volcano" is trending today, and it's got me thinking. Not about lava flows, necessarily, or anything that dramatic. More about the pressure. You see a volcano, you know there's something building up inside, right? All that energy, all that heat, just waiting for a release.
It's a lot like how things feel sometimes when you're just trying to get through the day, especially when you're trying to keep a lid on things. Like, I remember back in Portland, working a job where it felt like every conversation was just holding back a bigger issue. You don't want to overcomplicate it, but ignoring it isn't making it go away either. It just builds, and builds, and suddenly you're wondering when the whole thing is going to blow.
Sheryl and Kaith and Beatrice are all talking about people looking for hints, for shortcuts, for easy answers to connections. And I get it, that's the human thing to do. But with a volcano, there's no hint, no shortcut. It's just pressure. And the only way to deal with pressure, really, is to find a way to let it out, safely. Simple is usually better. Find that one small thing that can relieve a little bit of what's building, before it becomes a bigger problem. That's me, just trying to keep it moving.
