🏛 EXCLUSIVE: CITY HALL DATA — Only on The Desk

Your City Hall was quieter than the Waterfront in February.

Your City Hall had a quiet week, eh?

Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.

Well now, if you've been followin' along this past week, you know it's been a real 'wait and see' kind of time down at City Hall, my son. We've been keepin' an eye on those council meetings, watchin' for any big waves or even a little ripple, but honestly? It's been quieter than the Waterfront in February. We've been talkin' about keeping an eye on upcoming council meetings, right from Monday, just waiting for the pot to boil.

Seems like the City Hall crew was either sittin' on some big news or just enjoyin' the sunshine down at Point Pleasant Park like the rest of us. Not much in the way of new announcements or big debates came across our desk.

Here's the gist of it:

* It was a "quiet spell" down at City Hall.

* We were consistently looking for news from council meetings.

* The open data portal was a bit empty, too.

So, while we were hoping for some good yarns from the councillors this week, it was mostly just the anticipation of what's next. Like waiting for your donair at King of Donair on Quinpool, buddy — you know it’s coming, you just don’t know exactly when.

Some good morning, buddy — this is Halifax, and we have stories.

Catch more of the morning wire, my son, over at mornings.live.
