Your Neighbors Really Want Stuff Picked Up, No Mames

Okay so check it—City Hall’s 311 service requests are, like, literally showing us what’s bugging Angelenos the most right now, ya sabes? The number one thing, by a long shot, is "Item Pickups" with *9,612 requests*. And then right after that, "Illegal Dumping Item Pickup" racked up another *7,446 requests*. Oye, that's a lot of junk! It's clear people are seeing stuff on the streets, whether it’s, like, a couch dumped on their corner in Boyle Heights or just a broken washing machine left out on a sidewalk in El Sereno, and they’re hitting up the city to deal with it.

### What the Numbers Say

It's not just a few calls, either. When you combine those two categories, you're looking at over *17,000 requests* for pickups. That’s more than twice as many as "Information-Only" calls, which were the next highest. It tells you that everyday quality-of-life stuff, like keeping our neighborhoods clean and not having random junk everywhere, is super important to people right now.

This data, from the city’s recent 311 service logs, really highlights where the immediate needs are. It's not about big development projects this week, it’s about the basics. Keep an eye out to see if the city ramps up sanitation efforts in response, or if these numbers just keep climbing.

That's the real LA, fam — east of the 110.
