Your City Hall is too quiet, and I'm suspicious

Okay, so this is actually wild – a whole week, and City Hall has been quieter than Broadway Avenue at 3 AM. Seriously, the open data portal? Empty. It's like everyone decided to go on a secret vacation to Blackstrap Lake without telling me. Usually, I'm watching for the next round of debates on our lovely bike lanes, or maybe someone trying to rename another park after a goose.

This past week has been… nothing. And in Saskatoon, nothing is usually something.

* No new grand plans for downtown development.

* Zero updates on the proposed Riversdale art installation.

* Not a peep about those elusive pot-holes that seem to multiply overnight.

It feels like the city is holding its breath. What are they cooking up? Are we getting a new bridge, or is it just another committee meeting about committee meetings? Saskatoon is a city that will invite you to a farm-to-table dinner and then make you defend the concept of a city for twenty minutes, so this silence is really unsettling.
