Alright, so the whole internet's buzzing about Fortnite Chapter 7, with Dwayne Johnson and Bugs Bunny apparently dropping in. You know, the usual digital chaos. For real though, while all those kids are glued to their screens, here in Calgary, we're talking about a completely different kind of safety, and it's hitting way too close to home.
We just had that report drop about Alberta teachers, bless their hearts, facing straight-up violence in schools from their own students. Can you believe that? We’re talking assaults, injuries, classroom evacuations – it’s not just a few bad apples, it’s a systemic issue. While parents are probably just hoping their kids aren't racking up too many V-bucks, I'm thinking about those educators in Bridgeland and Kensington, trying to keep a classroom together when things get rough. This is Calgary – we've seen the boom, we've seen the bust, and we showed up anyway, but we need to show up for our teachers and our kids, not just virtually, but in the real world. Let's figure out why things are getting this wild in our schools, because that story just hit a dry well with me.
