Your property taxes are moving. Here's why.

Your property taxes are on the move

How's everyone doing out there? Cassidy Redcloud comin' at ya from the MiTL Sports Desk, keeping an eye on what's shakin' at City Hall. And folks, there's some interesting seismic activity on the property assessment front that we need to talk about.

For real though, our real-time monitors, updated at 2026-05-05T12:05:56.203Z, are showing some big numbers in property assessments across the city. We're talking major-league valuations for some of Calgary's biggest players.

* Canada Olympic Park currently has three properties with an average assessed value of $56,093,333. That's a lot of zeroes, even for us. * Nose Hill Park isn't far behind, with seven properties averaging $40,863,286. You can't put a price on those views of the Rockies, but the city certainly tries. * Even areas like Residual Ward 2 - Sub Area 2E are seeing nine properties with an average assessed value of $28,060,556.

What does this mean for you, the everyday Calgarian? Well, these big assessments can impact everything from city services to how your own property value is perceived. It's a reminder that Calgary's land is a hot commodity, even in the quieter corners. We'll be watching how these valuations translate into future budget discussions.

This is Calgary — we've seen the boom, we've seen the bust, and we showed up anyway.
