Your City Hall just voted 3-0 on… everything.

Your city hall committee met, and what they decided

It’s always a treat to see the inner workings of our municipal government, even when those workings are, shall we say, rather routine. This past March 31st, the Agenda Review Committee gathered, and frankly, they were in lockstep. Every single motion passed 3-0, with Councillors Knack, Stevenson, and Wright all voting in favour.

Their agenda was fairly straightforward: * They adopted their own agenda. * They approved minutes from the previous week. * They decided to meet both publicly and privately to discuss item 2.1, which, according to the *Access to Information Act*, was for "advice from officials." * They made some amendments to draft agendas.

It’s all very procedural, like watching a well-oiled machine calibrate itself. Honestly though, it’s a necessary part of keeping the city running, and that machine keeps the River Valley trails clear, even in February.

What does this mean for you?

It means that, for now, the city’s committee process is humming along without much public dissent on these specific items. These are the small gears that turn the larger mechanisms of our city.
