Good morning. Darren Fedoruk here, from the MiTL Sports Desk, covering your city hall. It was a busy week for the Agenda Review Committee, with a series of very carefully considered motions, all carried, as the data shows, 2-0. Yes, democracy in action. Truly.
Councillor Anne Stevenson accepted a gift of $120 from the Edmonton International Airport on November 24, 2025, according to the official gifts registry. While not exactly a high-stakes thriller, it’s always worth noting these things, just for the record. The important thing is transparency, even if the gift here is more of a token, you know? It's the principle.

Meanwhile, Edmontonians were busy reaching out to 311. Here's what's on their minds:
* General Information: 160,623 requests * Routes and Schedules: 112,470 requests * Collection and Disposal Services: 53,724 requests * Public Parking Complaints: 46,022 requests * Maintenance - Snow and Ice: 43,660 requests
Honestly though, 160,000 requests for general information tells you something about how much people just want to understand what's happening in their city. Or maybe they're just trying to figure out if the Oilers game is on. Could be either. The snow and ice complaints at 43,660 requests, well, that just means it was another Edmonton winter. It builds character, and I will not elaborate.
What does it all mean for you, driving down Groat Road, or trying to find parking near Whyte Avenue? It means your city is still working, still fielding calls, and still trying to figure out what to put on the agenda next week.
