Your City Hall was quieter than the wind this week
Good morning from the coulees — the wind's up, the sky's wide, and Lethbridge has something to say.
Look, this past week, City Hall was quieter than a prairie dog burrow in January. No new civic data came across our desks, and it felt like the main topic of conversation, even for those working inside, was less about policy and more about the sky. The heavy rain warnings kept things pretty still.
It's not often we see such a quiet stretch. Usually, there's at least a rumble or two from council chambers. But the wind, the rain, it felt like Mother Nature herself put a hold on the usual proceedings.
* No new open data released * Heavy rain warnings dominated local conversation * Council chambers were uncharacteristically quiet
It seems the Ƞíítsitapi, the people, around here mostly just hunkered down. Sometimes, the land just demands your attention, and everything else waits.
